The story enfolds from prehistoric times and travels through history witnessing the discovery of fire to the use of various techniques of using charcoal to pre cook and cook delicacies. From the trails of the Spice Route to the epic battles food evolved, travelled and made its home in various parts of the world.

At Charcoal Story our endeavour is to create an Indian Kebab Studio experience, Serving authentic & delectable kebabs including favourites like Mutton Seekh, Chapli Kebab, Chicken Tikka along with our signature curries Nihari, Korma & Dal Charcoal.

Our experience center will also have pre – marinated meat for takeaway or delivery and a homemade Marinades & Spice rack with BBQ grills & BBQ accessories for retail.

We will follow authentic recipes for both our marinating process and cooking.In addition to this we will show case the works of authors from across the country on our book shelf which will house the best culinary works, we will also be retailing some of these treasures.

Charcoal Story will take your mind and palate on a nostalgic journey with its authentic kebabs, curries and captivating vibe.

Virender Handa, the Founder, is a graduate from Macquarie University in Business Hospitality (where he would meet his future Co-Founder, Kapil Middha) and has 6 years of experience working in Australia, managing everything from boutique restaurants to convention centres before starting his own venture in 2006.

Chef Kapil Middha, the Co-Founder and Culinary Director , is a graduate in Hotel Management from Pusa and of Tourism and Hospitality Management from Macquarie University, Sydney. He began his culinary adventures earlier than most when he would ardently observe his mother in the kitchen experimenting with flavours, ingredients and textures. Known as ‘Mr. Cool and Calm’ in his high-pressure kitchen, he is cordon-bleu chef
